Today kicks off Mel Brooks week in honor of his upcoming 100th birthday this weekend. The French Revolution is my favorite chapter of History of the World Part 1, so that felt like good source material for today's comic. Once I swapped out King Louis XVI for the King of Pop, it pretty much wrote itself.

This was a hard one to even get made. The image generation model did not want to create an image of children next to Michael Jackson. I also wanted the children to be piled on top of each other ala the gang bang in the film, and it wouldn't do that either. What I ended up doing was creating the comic sans Michael, and then added him in later. The model wasn't smart enough to realize what I was up to. However, it wouldn't generate "Michael Jackson" for some reason, even though it's ok with other celebrities. Instead, it offered to generate a 1980s pop star. I said sure, not expecting to like it, and then it created Michael anyway.

AI is somehow both really smart and really stupid at the same time.
