Sometimes a comic idea starts as a humorous nugget that I explore and expand upon until I have this interesting, thoughtful, funny truth. Other times I take something dumb and I keep it dumb. This one is the latter.

This was one of the very first comics I created when I began this strip in earnest. There were a few iterations, but they were mostly adding easter eggs or fixing intolerable levels of slop (mostly around the placement of the police tape). One fun note: The "Welcome back, students!" banner was my wife's idea. She claims it was a real sign that she saw at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
