It shouldn't come as a surprise that I love dark humor. And given that The SLOP is kinda sorta about technology and futurism, I often wonder what death will look like as we delegate more and more humanity to our creations. In some ways, it'll get better. People will live longer and more capably. Pain will be lessened. Incurable diseases will be cured. But the process of death itself I can only imagine will get lonelier. Machines will do a lot of things better than we can, but I don't believe they'll ever be as capable at providing comfort.
